Five Things That Motivate My Corporate Event Design Business

Five Things That Motivate My Corporate Event Design Business

Have you ever had questions for a Corporate Event Strategist? Well just in case, I’m going to answer the 5 W’s right here to help you out. You can also reference my Welcome to my Blog post for more information about MTR Event Design.

Who Do I Work With?

Busy Professionals like you and your team. Most of my clients are coaches, consultants and executives that want help to execute their event. One requirement is that each one of my client’s sees the value in developing their event strategy. It is imperative that we determine your strategy before we can begin the event planning process.

What Do I Do?

I empower busy professionals to create amazing and engaging events, which saves you time by taking tasks off your hands so you can focus on managing your business. Let’s face it, we are all busy and just like I would not try to diagnose something wrong with me and I choose to go see a doctor, I enjoy working with clients that see my value. I bring a level of professionalism and education to every event I produce. I have an event planning process that includes event strategy, developing your event teams, which include marketing, sales, social media, event logistics and many more aspects. I help make this easy, fun and I have a system that works. The types of events that I enjoy are corporate conferences, social and enrollment events.

When Do I Do It?

Depends on how much planning you need. I only take 12-15 events per year so I can dedicate my time to each of my clients. COVID-19 wasn’t anything we wanted, and it had us all to look at things differently, therefore, opening up a whole avenue for many professionals for virtual events. It is very important to me that the planning process isn’t rushed, giving you ample time to market and get the attendance that you want and need at your event. With virtual events, I suggest at least six weeks to promote your event  so we will need at least 3-4 weeks prior to develop your event strategy and process.

2022 is going to be one of the biggest years ever in the wedding industry, which will affect anyone planning an event if the goal is to have a  live in-person event. Venues are the busiest ever and currently there is a labor shortage (know anyone that is looking for a job, let me know). Given this, it’s important to have ample time to plan your in-person events. I usually suggest 9-12 months especially if there are big teams and committees to make decisions.

Where Do I Do It?

I have been known to fly to Guam for some events.. All kidding aside, I produce events all over the Sonoma/Napa Wine Country and San Francisco Bay Area, nationally and now internationally with Virtual Events.. I have been traveling since I was little and truly love it. In fact, one of the best jobs I had in the corporate world was working with Shaklee Corporation and traveling to fabulous destinations to produce amazing events for our sales leaders. I love seeing new places and what fun it is to plan an incentive event at a remote destination. All I need is my laptop and my phone and I’m golden.

Why I Do It?

I have always had a passion for events. It is such a
privilege to work with some of the most amazing clients and team of fantastic event professionals. I could
not have asked for a better career. Adapting with change is something I do
well. I am now helping others navigate their virtual events. It is fun and the best part is
watching my clients hit their goals.
