Five Things that Motivate My Corporate Event Design Business

Have you ever had questions for a Corporate Event Strategist? Well just in case, I’m going to answer the 5 W’s right here to help you out. You can also reference my Welcome to My Blog post for more information about MTR Event Design.

Who Do I Work With?

Busy Professionals like you and your team. Most of my clients are coaches, consultants, and executives that want help to execute their event. One requirement is that each one of my client’s sees the value in developing their Event Strategy. It is imperative that we determine your strategy before we can begin the event planning process.

What Do I Do?

I empower busy professionals to create amazing and engaging events, which saves you time by taking tasks off your hands so you can focus on managing your business. Let’s be real, we’re all swamped with tasks! Just as I wouldn’t attempt to self-diagnose a health concern but instead, consult a doctor, I thrive on collaborating with clients who appreciate and recognize the value I bring.

I bring a level of professionalism and education to every event I produce. I have an Event Planning Process that includes Event Strategy, developing your event teams, which include marketing, sales, social media, event logistics, and many more aspects. I help make this easy, fun and I have a system that works. My Event Planning Process seamlessly caters to corporate conferences, virtual events, hybrid gatherings, social functions, and enrollment events.

When Do I Do It?

This depends on how much planning you need. The amount of planning required really hinges on ensuring we don’t rush the process. It’s crucial for me that we allocate enough time not only for the planning itself but also for effective marketing to achieve the attendance your event deserves. For virtual events, a minimum of six weeks for promotion is advisable, meaning we should start crafting your event strategy and process 3-4 weeks before that. With live, in-person events now back in full swing and venues busier than ever, it’s essential to give yourself plenty of time for planning. For these events, I typically recommend a lead time of 9-12 months, especially when large teams or committees are involved in decision-making.

Where Do I Do It?

Since my earliest memories, travel has been a passion of mine, even taking me as far as Guam for certain events. My love for journeying was magnified through an incredible opportunity I had with Shaklee Corporation, where I traveled to stunning locations to organize memorable events for our sales leaders. The thrill of discovering new destinations and the excitement of orchestrating incentive events in remote locales are what I live for. Equipped with just my laptop and phone, I can bring events to life anywhere—from the vineyards of Sonoma/Napa Wine Country to the iconic landscapes of the San Francisco Bay Area, and beyond, across the nation and even internationally through Virtual Events.

Why I Do It?

I have always had a passion for events. It is such a privilege to work with some of the most amazing clients and team of fantastic event professionals. I could not have asked for a better career. Adapting with change is something I do well and now I am helping others navigate their virtual events. It is truly a joy and the best part is watching my clients hit their goals.
